Thanks Everyone! This fellow appeared in "A Dragon's Lullaby" for Heinemann Publishing, a sweet story about a dragon who sings a village to sleep each night.
For more than ten years, I designed and produced childrens' entertainment and educational software, websites and videos. Now I spend my days drawing and painting everything from armadillos to zebras to homemade Pokemon cards for my son.
I graduated from Murray Tinkelman’s limited residency MFA program at Hartford Art School in July 2009. The program was a dream come true; to live and breathe art with incredible illustrators for 4 weeks a year - heaven! Please see the link below if you’d like to find out more information.
I didn’t choose to pursue illustration; it chose me. I do it because I simply can’t stop. It’s the way I think and approach life. Someone else sees an older lady sipping tea and doesn’t think twice. I see that lady and imagine a coiffed ostrich with pearls in a boiled wool suit and matching hat. Playing pretend never gets old!

Wonderful illustration and your inspiration looks just like you! :)
He is cute. Still not sure whether I'd want him watching over me. :p
He's adorable and looks harmless! I like the perspective you chose, with the town so tiny below. Was this piece published?
lovely!
This is so wonderful! I love him...I just want to give him a hug!
