...and it's so thrilling to be included in this beautiful magazine. The other women featured are amazing so please check it out if your near a Barnes and Noble, Borders or a Claire Murray store!
A heartfelt thanks to Linda Kramer, Stacy Bass, Donna Murphy, Laurel Kornhiser and, of course, Claire Murray for this gift.
I read your article when my magazine arrived. I was so interested in your work, that I looked up your blog. I really like your work. I'm on a similar path - taking baby steps. This is a second career for me, and I love everything about it. Thank you for sharing your story.
For more than ten years, I designed and produced childrens' entertainment and educational software, websites and videos. Now I spend my days drawing and painting everything from armadillos to zebras to homemade Pokemon cards for my son.
I graduated from Murray Tinkelman’s limited residency MFA program at Hartford Art School in July 2009. The program was a dream come true; to live and breathe art with incredible illustrators for 4 weeks a year - heaven! Please see the link below if you’d like to find out more information.
I didn’t choose to pursue illustration; it chose me. I do it because I simply can’t stop. It’s the way I think and approach life. Someone else sees an older lady sipping tea and doesn’t think twice. I see that lady and imagine a coiffed ostrich with pearls in a boiled wool suit and matching hat. Playing pretend never gets old!
